		<description>You think that the recent announcements of $3 CTA rides and significant service cuts will make this happen?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Maybe the only way the CTA knows to get people organized (politically and otherwise) is to use these scare tactics?  People tend to respond to the negative forecasts more than the positive, but the result is a &quot;keep and maintain&quot; policy instead of the forward thinking that you advocate.  Maybe it&#039;s a mixed blessing at best.</description>

The best you can hope for is that massive federal prosecutions will throw most of the current set of contractors and politicians in jail, leaving room for smaller, nimbler builders to do the job at less than 10 times the normal cost.</description>

Over the last year or two the mayor has mentioned how important transit is to the region but, I don&#039;t believe he really gets it.  On his travels throughout Europe he should have reconized the role mass transit play in having a vibrant city.  I don&#039;t have confidence in this administration in getting the job done.</description>
