Crossroads 2000 Project Tables
Crossroads 2000 is the name Indiana governor Frank O'Bannon gave to his
four year highway construction plan. In the main, this plan breaks no new
ground. Virtually every project is one that has been in the works for years.
Indeed, it would seem suspicous if this was not the case due to the large
lead time needed to bring major projects to a point where they can be
constructed.
But there are a few major expenditures that are going towards projects that
had not been previously funded. These projects are:
- The Hoosier Heartland Corridor between Lafayette and Fort Wayne
- The I-80/I-94 interchange at Cline Ave (SR 912)
- The Bloomington to Evansville freeway (design work only)
The remainder of the projects had been programmed for some time.
The tables below list all major projects by county. Note that all dollar
amounts are in thousands. The preservation amounts are for the entire four
years of the Crossroads 2000 plan.
