Fighting to bring passenger rail service back to the Bluegrass State and Southern Indiana.
Thanks to the efforst of you and others, an Indianapolis-Louisville segment has been added to the high speed rail plan. Of course, the network may never be built, but at least Louisville is now a viable candidate city. With the recent return of Amtrak to Louisville, even with the horrible service the Kentucky Cardinal train provides, interest in passenger rail is higher than ever in the Louisville area.
Thank you all for your support over the last two years to make this a reality!
Aaron.
I am keeping most of these rail pages online in "archival mode". While somewhat dated, they do contain quite a bit of good information.
In 1998 a group of nine Midwestern states released a study supporing the construction of a high speed rail network linking all major cities in the Midwest via a Chicago hub. Louisville wasn't on the network. That needs to change immediately! Here is where you can find out all the reasons why.
